"When God closes a door, He somewhere opens a window."
My life has gone through so many changes over the decades that very little of it has surprised me...until now. My past has become my present again. I am truly blessed.
"Nanny" passed away on January 26, 2009. Just 11 months after remarrying. Her will left everything to her "new husband"...who sold off most of her possessions and most of her first husbands possessions...he never offered her sons any of their parents belongings.
Her sons lost both of their parents in the span of 26 months.........and every single family heirloom from BOTH sides of their family. The home that she owned with her first husband for over 20 years, has been stripped of every item and is now up for sale. Her sons were "banished" from ever setting foot in her home just 2 days after her memorial service, by the "new husband".
Nanny got sick just about a year ago, her life only lasted 90 days beyond her catastrophic diagnosis of advanced pancreatic cancer.
Her home was stripped of all possessions and anything of value t hat she and Rollie worked a lifetime for. Her grand children's "investment funds" vanished.
Her husband (at the time of her death) made sure his children benefited by her death..but didn't even give her son's photographs and family items. He even took the time to throw their father's bible in a box that was destined for the dump!

It's amazing what greed can do to a person!
